Colour Management
Flexkote provides a wide variety of durable powder coating colours for a variety of materials.
We work with our main powder supplies to provide clients with a wide range of colours and finishes to address aluminum, steel, stainless, satin coat, and castings.

STAGE 2 - QUALITY CONTROL
At Flexkote, our team carefully inspects each piece prior the pre-treatment stage to ensure that there are no imperfections, defects or scratches. We reject pieces that do not meet the client’s exacting quality control standards to assure that the highest quality products are passing through the powder coating process.
STAGE 3 - PRETREATMENT
The Pretreatment Process
The quality of your finish is only as good as the pretreatment that’s underneath it – being the most critical stage of the powder coating process.
At Flexkote, we operate a four-stage pretreatment system. This pretreatment system is chemically designed to offer the most effective cleaning and etching available on the market. We also have a separate wash system with chemistry designed specifically for steel.
This pretreatment has the appropriate chemistry to ensure your metal products receive the best pretreatment possible.
All our chemistry is designed with the environment in mind and offers maximum cleaning and conversion coating performance.
The wash consists of 4 stages of pretreatment and one stage before wash preparation.
STAGE 4 - POWDER COATING
The Powder Coating Process
At Flex-kote, we work with our customers and suppliers to address the unique powder coating requirements for each project. Here are the main factors to consider when choosing the right powder for your project:
• Desired longevity of the paint warranty and durability
• The appearance of the surface coating -Does it match?
• Is it the right gloss?
• Is it the right texture?
• Resistance – Does it hold up and perform (chemical resistance/UV resistance/anti-microbial/
• Flex-kote is an approved applicator of Tiger powders that meet the AAMA standards.
Here you will find colour charts and specification sheets for all of the colors we carry. We can also order custom colours as needed.
STAGE 5 - CURE OVEN
The Curing Process
At Flexkote, we adjust our cure cycles to meet the unique needs of our customer’s materials. We run preliminary tests on all our customers’ products before painting to develop a cure time that works with your product and the specific paint you have chosen. A proper cure is crucial for finish performance and ensures that colour, gloss, and durability will last for years to come.
STAGE 6 - PACKAGING
The Packaging Process
Taking proper care of your finish can have a major impact on the durability and appearance of your new coating.
Each bundle of powder coated materials goes through a final inspection and is custom packaged to ensure that it arrives without damage to the client’s facility.
